How to Prepare a Custom Workwear Enquiry
A useful enquiry does not have to be long. Give the supplier a clear starting point, identify what is still undecided and include the information needed to discuss a feasible order.

1. Explain the garment and share a reference
Tell us whether you need a jacket, trousers, a complete set, a coverall or another garment. A sample photograph, drawing or technical pack helps explain the shape and construction you have in mind.
If you are using one of our references, include its style code. Mark which details should stay and which should change. If the design is still being developed, describe the intended working environment and what the garment needs to do.
2. Break down the quantity
Give the expected quantity per style and color, rather than only a combined total. Add the size breakdown if available. If it is not yet decided, say so and provide your approximate order quantity.
For repeat programs, distinguish the initial order from possible later orders. A future estimate is useful planning context, but should not be presented as a committed quantity.
3. Define materials and customization
Include any fabric composition, weight or color requirements you already have. If you are unsure, explain the intended use and the trade-offs you want to discuss, such as fit, garment weight or pocket layout.
- Fabric, lining, colors and trim preferences.
- Logo artwork, application method and placement.
- Measurements, size range and fit requirements.
- Pocket, closure, cuff and waistband details.
- Labels, individual packing and carton instructions.
Where a product needs specific protective performance, identify the intended requirement and the evidence you need before selecting materials. Do not rely on a similar-looking photograph as proof.
4. State the destination and required date
Give the delivery country and, where known, the delivery location or port. State whether your target date is for sample receipt, production completion, dispatch or arrival. These are different milestones.
Also explain whether the date is fixed or flexible. Manufacturing, inspection, shipment and destination clearance need to be considered separately when discussing the schedule and quotation terms.
